Inspiration:
Beginning the design process I knew I wanted to incorporate wire construction, Right Angle Weave, and rabbit fur. I drew inspiration from simple geometric forms, current fashion trends, and various types of netting from fishing rope to medical mesh. I referenced cowl necklines and the characteristics of leather to determine how I want to construct the fur lining and how the fur was going to interact with the seed beads. In order to keep the design sophisticated and refined I chose to use black fur, black Delica seed beads with varying finishes, and patina the container a blackish purple. The ring will be done in silver two deep red gems in order to accent to black tones.

Concept Research:
I was interested in the contrast between the words embrace and empowerment. The balance behind being strong, confident, and influential while maintaining an approachable and gentle tone. I took material choice, composition, and color into consideration.  The container represents the embrace while the ring symbolizes strength. In order to keep the container welcoming but also  sophisticated and refined I chose to use black fur, black seed beads with varying finishes, and patinaed copper. The ring will be done in silver with two deep red gems in order to accent to black tones. The hollow construction of the ring asserts an implied weight in contrast the fur and netting in the container convey a light airy feeling.
